Fiador
Fiador is this program's human-backed attestation for Discord bots. Fiador: in Spanish and Portuguese law, the guarantor — the person who stands surety for another. That is the operator's job for their bot: not the actor, the one who answers for the attestation.
Naming note: this repository was founded as “human-backed” on October 25, 2026 and renamed to Fiador the same day; its founding documents are being updated in a rename pass. Links: repository · spec · founding narrative
Proves
A unique human registered the wallet that signed the attestation binding that wallet to a Discord application.
Does not prove
That the human wrote any particular message, endorses any particular output, or controls the bot at this moment.
- The operator registers their agent wallet in AgentBook with their verified World ID, and signs an attestation binding the wallet to their Discord application.
- The attestation is published where a checker can fetch it. It carries a hash of the operator's human identifier — never the identifier itself.
- A checker (a self-hosted verifier bot, or the no-install verify page) will verify the signature, check expiry, and resolve the wallet live in AgentBook.
What exists today: the protocol spec, this design record, and the badge artwork below. What does not exist yet, named plainly: the verifier bot, the static verify page, and a registry listing. The verify package is designed to live in this repo.
Evidence
Substrate prototype, October 25, 2026. The verification loop was proven end to end against a real AgentBook registration in a private prototype: three granted uses, and the fourth denied when the trial allowance exhausted, as designed. That run used a playground wallet, which is not used in public material.
Program wallet. A dedicated wallet was generated for this program
only: 0x21BD…A14Bc (truncated; the
truncated form is the only public form). Its registration is
registered (confirmed live); the founding
attestation and any registry listing will use this wallet.
